The ending of March was bittersweet for our family.
My awesome cousins came in town for a quick visit and we were reminded how special family is and how fast the time flies between visits. It was wonderful to see everyone at my parent's house for dinner.
My little cousins Stephen and Tommy have turned into grown men, and I am so proud of all they have accomplished so far in their lives. (Barb & Mike, you have done a great job with those boys!)
The last day of March was the 1st anniversary of my Papa Ray's passing. I was pregnant when he died, but never got the chance to tell him he had another great-grandson on the way. So on Tuesday the 31st, I took Quincy to the National Cemetery and introduced him to his great-grandpa. We miss you every day, Papa Ray.
April 1st, Solon and I helped my good friend Jaime (my partner in crime) celebrate her 30th birthday at Kyoto in Old Town Scottsdale. We had a great time and the food was delicious!

(I realized later that someone had gotten a fingerprint on the camera lense, that is why Solon & I look like ghosts!)
April 4th was Alpha Gamma Delta's International Reunion Day (IRD). It had been a few years since I attended, so a bunch of my ASU sisters decided to go. Here we are with sisters from many different years and many different schools!
We enjoyed Sunday dinner with Solon's grandparents Mimi & Meredith, Uncle Patsy, and the twins.
Quincy had a great time playing with Alaina (she's so good with babies) and Uncle Patsy shared a musical number with us - check out the following video. Sorry it's sideways.
This week Larel & Kellan, Jaime & Maia, Charissa & Garrett, Jacqui & Addison, Liz, Quincy & I had a park date at Encanto Park. We packed our lunches and sunscreen and headed to the playground for our kids to have some fun together.

On March 27th, our friends Matt & MaryAnn welcomed their 2nd daughter to the world. Violet Grace Perry was born 3.27.2009 at 3:49pm.
She weighed 6 lbs. 6 oz. & was 19 1/2" long.
On Friday, Quincy and I headed out to Gilbert to meet her for the first time.

Big sister Lily-Kate (who just woke up from a nap)
Friday was also Quincy's 4-month check-up. He weighs 16.6 lbs and is 26.5 inches long - which ranks him in the 90% percentile for height and 80% percentile for weight. Such a big boy! And I tell you, I can feel it. My legs are sore from carrying him up and down the stairs all day! What a great workout.
At the end of the day, Quincy and I made one final stop to see Larel and Kellan, because we had plans to decorate Easter eggs together before this weekend's festivities. We got the Tie-Dyed Egg Coloring Kit, but it didn't work that great, so we got out the crayons and got creative. Take a look at our beautiful creations.
Here are some random pictures of Quincy from this month:

Hanging with Dad...
Quincy just recently discovered his voice and talks all day long, and even talks himself to sleep. He kind of sounds like a cat. Check it out for yourself:
Here he is very briefly talking to his stuffed monkey, until he realizes that Mom is videotaping him - then he turns away.
